About Us

The Resident Review was founded in 2018 when our residents noted a significant homogeneity in plastic surgery study materials. While other specialties had multiple mediums for study including high yield review books, podcasts, videos, and interactive kinesthetic learning, plastic surgery education was still promoted mainly through textbooks and articles. We sought to create a resource which would cater to other learning styles while still fitting into the busy workday of a resident physician. In a culture of increasing technology and global outreach, we wanted to maintain our vision for our educational materials to be free and open access.

We sought to create a resource which would cater to other learning styles while still fitting into the busy workday of a resident physician.

The Resident Review has grown from a single podcast series to a multimedia education platform. We have multiple series for all levels of learners – students through board-certified surgeons, and even physicians, nurses, and providers in other specialties looking to advance their knowledge in plastic surgery techniques. Our listeners and contributors hail from countries all around the world. We’re proud to provide high-quality plastic surgery education for our community and we’re glad you are joining us in that journey.
